The Ballet School
TBS is the official ballet school at MSDC and provides students ages 3-20 with intensive classical ballet training. This intensive program is designed to inspire and train the next generation of professional ballet dancers. All classes will be taught by professional teachers. MSDC is committed to offering the highest caliber training from understanding technical fundamentals to developing performance skill and artistry.

TBS dancers can participate in competitions such as YAGP, Connecticut Classic, and Universal Ballet Competition, among others.
Competing is a valuable performance opportunity. There is much to learn through the entire process of training for a competition. We highlight the importance of rehearsal and consistency. Competition coaching is available at MSDC for all students.

TBS is also an excellent choice for young student athletes, like figure skaters, gymnasts, or rhythmic gymnasts. These athletes, who may not aspire to be a professional dancer, will benefit from the serious/intense ballet training to enhance fluidity, flexibility, strength, endurance and performance stamina. They will also develop depth and control in their movement, coordination, musicality, and artistry.

The Ballet School is unique because it is possible to enroll in one or multiple classes depending on the level and goals of the student. Email: info@mainstreetdancecenters.com to learn more. Tuition for TBS will be sent by email.
Level 1

For Younger Dancers
If you are a parent or guardian with a young child at home who lights up, twirls and imitates ballet moves, we would love to introduce them to the magic of ballet! These classes involve fundamental movement and basic steps in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Students learn ballet feet and arm positions, exercises to enhance rhythm, poise, and grace with games and age-appropriate music. These classes are designed to build and emphasize confidence, coordination, creativity and promote team participation, feeling familiar with and around other children, and discover the joy of ballet movement. Pre Ballet to Primary are the preparatory classes to Level 1 Ballet.
